The Roots

Four members of the BAMF tree that leads to me.

Guy with the ZZ Top beard is my great-great-great-great-great grandfather Lou. His son, Lou (very original), is holding the baby who is my great-great-great grandpa Lou (go figure) and finally, my great-great grandfather Lou (seeing a trend? He's the baby in the dress).

They all share the middle name because it's an old-school European Catholic reminding future generations that they are part of something bigger than themselves. Just another way to tell kids – "don't think you're more important than you are, 'cause you're not, but you're part of something important, a family."

From these humble immigrant beginnings sprang a clan of achievers. Strong-willed individuals who have gone on to practice law, medicine, run companies, own and operate their businesses and basically ball outta' control.

The past 200 years are a lot to live up to, but it makes me wonder what we can do with the next 200.
