This is a live performance from one of my favorite singers, Neko Case. She lived in Tacoma for a while and is one of the greats to come out of this whole Pacific Northwest post-millennium indie explosion.
She also performs with the Vancouver, B.C. based band The New Pornographers (another band I absolutely adore). They're kind of a super group of sorts, bringing Destroyer, A.C. Newman and Neko Case together to make some really good music.
But Neko's my favorite and this is a song called "I'm an animal" and I just love how clear and powerful her voice is when she belts those lyrics. Enjoy!
