This is the famous teapot dome. Though I live less than five miles away I've never actually stopped to take a picture.
It's a lower valley legend. Even though no one uses it anymore, it hasn't been torn down. It's a tourist trap that doesn't make any money. An oddity.
It used to be a gas station. Now it's just a place that people driving from Seattle to Walla Walla or Tri-Cities stop at to take a picture with their families.
It is cute though.
