Daniel Noble has been getting national media attention for saying excess caffeine and stress led to his running over two WSU student with his car in December.
We got some of the preliminary documents at the paper.
The most interesting page is the sheriff's affidavit where WSU Police Officer Monte Griffin gives his account of what happened.
He sets a scene of chaos and confusion where a man wearing pajamas and flip flops runs over two students then gets out and starts raving like a madman until officers Tase and arrest him.
It gets weirder. Griffin writes:
*You can click on the image to get a larger version. Noble kept going after he hit the first guy, then swerved up onto the sidewalk and hit another guy. Even after that he kept driving but eventually stopped. He got out wearing pajama pants:
He was also yelling and carrying on.
I'm not sure if it was the crazy talk, the pajamas or the fact that the windshield of his car had just been shattered by the bodies of WSU students, but officers decided to arrest Noble.
He's not happy about that:
Even after Tasing Noble he still resists and once the officers have him in the back of a cop car he tries to kick the glass out and escape.
But what about the victims? Both suffered broken legs and other injuries.
Judging from the marks left on the car Noble must have hit the two men and flipped them over the hood because the windshield was busted out and there was blood, hair and pieces of scalp stuck to the top of it, the weather stripping and the driver's side mirror.
