John Prine's "Bruised Orange" was one of the first CDs we got when I was a kid and is still one of my favorite albums to this day. It sits in a place of honor in my truck, ready to be injected into my tune-age system at a moment's notice.
And Bon Ivar's frontman and artistic driving force, Justin Vernon, is also one of my favorite musicians. Vernon's 2007 album "For Emma, Forever Ago" is, in my opinion, one of the greatest albums ever. The fact that Vernon chose to remake this song is a delightful homage from one great singer-songwriter to another.
