This is viral marketing

This is a viral video Leavenworth, Wa contracted a local video production company to produce and I feel privileged enough to have witnessed a part of the creative process.

For those of you unfamiliar with Leavenworth, it's a Bavarian-style mountain town in the Wenatchee Valley that is a huge tourism draw to the area and a major factor in the local economy.

Traditionally, the tourism trade has been based upon dollars from an older demographic but the town seems to be trying to brand itself as a wintertime spring break-type vacation destination for the younger generation to come play, hang out and have fun.

The challenge here is to promote Leavenworth's traditional image of a family-friendly niche draw while also building an image of being a place where young singles and pre-family spenders can come and enjoy.
