I'm back in the saddle again ...

I had to loosen up the laces for a while but I'm putting my blogging shoes back on.

I've been busy this summer with classes, editing The Summer Evergreen and ballin' out of control.

But one cool thing we did at the paper this summer was write a hilarious editorial about the WSU football program and the felons we recruit to carry pigskins in Pullman. Jim Moore, The Seattle PI's sports columnist, referenced the editorial in his column writing that it was a, "hilarious must-read."

I wish I could take credit for the entire thing, but I can't. It was my idea and Dan Herman came up with most of the funny content and opinion editor Gavin Mathis wrote it. I'm stealing Herman's screen shots of our before-and-after web crawls for The Summer Evergreen.

This is normal:This is after the editorial:

Pretty cool that something we came up with off the cuff got so much attention. (Sorry Herman but I liked your idea)

Just goes to show that you don't have to be boring to write for a newspaper. As Herman is fond of quoting me, "Write with your balls."
